Homemade Essential Oil Body & Room Sprays

You live a healthy, happy life full of nature and do your best to avoid chemicals, pesticides and anything else that will harm you and your family. You love your home to smell welcoming and enjoy spraying on something wonderful to perk you up. Do not use commercial room fresheners or cheap perfumes as most of them are full of toxic ingredients.

The solution? Below are some fabulous, chemical & dye free room and body spray recipes that will keep you healthy and everything smelling fantastic. Perfect for gifting as well.

The vodka or alcohol in the recipes help the essential oils and water to mix more thoroughly, and helps the homemade air freshener to dry faster. You could omit it if you like, but I really think it results in a better end product. If you don’t keep a lot of alcohol in your home, simply use real vanilla extract.
Play around with your scents. Make something out of the oils your enjoy the most!

DIY Body Sprays

  • Distilled or filtered water–tap water can work also, but certain minerals may alter the desired outcome.
  • Vodka or witch hazel–I use vodka because I usually have some on hand. It acts as a preservative and helps keep the oil from settling at the bottom of the bottle.
  • Your favorite essential oil scents
  • Vegetable Glycerin–this is optional, but will help the scents last longer
  • Small glass spray bottle
